We understand there is some trepidation regarding "Celia." It sort of rhymes with Bedelia but please keep in mind it's a full syllable short. You are allowed up to two votes; you can actually vote every day if you want to and we do appreciate the traffic :-)
We will then make a short list and add in any new names that we are soliciting (please leave any name suggestions in the comments section below) for a new poll in a few days. We are naming our child by committee! Please note that we reserve the right to veto the results if we're not happy with them, but since we are picking all the names in the poll I don't think that will be the case.

I love names like Ella, Elle, Stella, Estelle, Isabelle (basically anything with the Elle base).
I also like the following (which are variations of my name): Kai, Kaia, Kaylee...but you guys didn't have any that seem along those lines, so you may not be into them.
Oh yeah, I also like Alana and Lana.
I will keep you guys posted to any new thoughts!
Good comments, folks. Keep them coming.
Id also like to suggest my nieces' name - Ayla (pronounced Eye-lah). It has Turkish orgins and means moonlight..or you can go with the Hebrew version pronounced Ay-Lah which means Oak Tree,oh btw i also voted for Ella
Go Ella! I can definitely see you guys screaming to that.lol :). Choose ella is short and simple...nice.
I'm voiting for Julia. Julia is the baby's great-great grandmother's name, Julia (Kubis) Bray, whose family actually lived in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, before moving to Staten Island.

Ella is a cool name, and you can sing to her the Rhianna song..."Umbr-ella, ella, ella, hey, hey, hey...". Kidding aside, I do like the name. And I like Julia (although, she might have five friends in kindergarten with the same name--her friends parents' will call her Julia B). I like the names Abigail and Sydney (I know neither are on the list, but I thought I'd share).
Luca (italian),Lucabella (italian),Isla (scottish),Ania,Aila(scottish),Ailie(scottish),Tara..i have too much time on my hands..
Thanks Ed! I knew about the Bray Family Julia connection. And interestingly enough I also had a great grandmother named Julia. So, she will have two great-great grandmothers that were named Julia from NY City. I think mine was also from Brooklyn? Kind of makes me like the idea of naming her Julia even though it is so common. But I can't help wishing it were more unique.
I have to go with Julia. It's my daughter's name and she is named after her great-grandmother. Yes, it is pretty popular right now. But that's because it is such a beautiful name.
If you go with Julia, then both Julia and Amelia will become the Lia sisters. I have not decided if thats cool or not.
